A new apparel line honoring Kobe Bryant‘s late daughter Gianna Bryant sold out in than a day! On Saturday, on what would have been Gianna’s 15th birthday, the apparel line went on sale and was immediately bought.

Mambacita was Gianna’s basketball nickname. It would come from her father’s legendary nickname, the ‘Black Mamba’. Kobe and Gianna Bryant passed last year on January 26th, when their helicopter crashed, killing the pilot and six others.

“A new apparel line honoring Kobe Bryant’s late daughter Gianna sold out in less than a day on Saturday, according to a representative of Kobe Bryant’s estate team. Mambacita was Gianna’s basketball nickname, a nod to her legendary father, whom Lakers fans called the “Black Mamba.” Kobe and Gianna Bryant died in a Los Angeles helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. The pilot and six other passengers were also killed. Gianna’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, said 100% of the proceeds from the sales of Mambacita athletic gear will go to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, a charity set up to honor Kobe and Gianna Bryant.”
