Vanessa Bryant, the widow of the late basketball great Kobe Bryant, has revealed the hardship she has been experiencing in the run-up to the one year anniversary of her husband’s death.
Vanessa Bryant Gets Emotional About Kobe Bryant 1 Year After His Death
In what was a traumatic process, Vanessa revealed all to her fans on Instagram. She went on to say: “Let me be real — Grief is a messed up cluster of emotions. “One day you’re in the moment laughing, and the next day you don’t feel like being alive.
I want to say this for the people struggling with grief and heartbreaking loss. Find your reason to live. I look at my daughters, and I try to push through that feeling for them. Death is guaranteed but living the rest of the day isn’t. Find your reason.”
Such a tragic story, particularly given the nature of Kobe’s death. The basketball player was involved in a helicopter accident in Calabasas, California. The funeral soon followed, and a large gathering occurred at the Los Angeles Staples Center which was the place that Kobe was home at having played there for the Los Angeles Lakers (20 years)
And the struggle to cope with that was all a bit too much to bear for Vanessa, as an insider later revealed. A source told Us Weekly: “No two days are the same for Vanessa. One day she feels motivated, and the next, she’s depressed and needs to take time for herself. There are moments when it all completely consumes her.”
It was even more complicated, given that the pair had children together: daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 18 months. Added to that, Kobe was very fond of them as she went on to reveal. She told her fans on Instagram: “My husband worked his ass off for 20 years. Gave it his all.”
“All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time. He wanted to be there for every single milestone and special moment in our girls lives.” But Kobe will never be forgotten as the family showed during their most recent Christmas. In a tribute to him, they posted a picture on Instagram with the following caption:
“Always Together, Never Apart Together Forever In Our Hearts. Kobe, Vanessa, Natalia, Gianna, Bianka and Capri.” Let us hope Vanessa finds the strength to continue being positive. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
