HBO Max’s ‘Mortal Kombat’ has been met with great fan approval and many are anxiously awaiting the sequel and a chance to get to see fan-favorite Johnny Cage. However, Cage may not be the only familiar face we’ll see!

Sub-Zero actor Joe Taslim has teased that we will “probably” see Noob Saibot in the sequel. Assuming Warner Brothers will continue the film franchise. He added he hopes that it does because he definitely wants to play the character.

“Yes, that’s the next transformation of the character, but of course, we don’t know yet. If the fans want this franchise to continue, then there’s a strong chance that the next step for Bi-Han is to play Noob Saibot. Fingers crossed, but I hope it happens because I definitely want to play that character..”

Should a follow-up film happen, Taslim is ready to return. If you’re unfamiliar with the character, after Bi-Han/Sub-Zero is killed, he has his soul transformed into Noob Saibot. It’s also been reported that Taslim has signed a multi-picture deal, so we could definitely see him.

This is fantastic news, and hopefully, they’ll continue diving into the iconic lore of the Mortal Kombat universe! The opening 8-minutes of the film gave us a taste of the feud between the Lin-Kuei and Shirai Ryu. Hopefully, we can dive more into the Netherrealm and Noob Saibot’s creation. Taslim was fantastic as Sub-Zero and we definitely need more!
