If you’re a follower of Jeffree Star, then you’ll know that most recently he was involved in Karmageddon, an entire incident that happened after the incident with James Charles happened last year which resulted in James Charles getting cancelled. However, James Charles has since recovered and is doing just fine.
Jeffree however, it looks like he’s slowly crumbling and just ignoring all the cracks as he’s wont to do. He never directly addressed what he did, he apologized once, halfheartedly, but didn’t directly go through and address anything. Which made a lot of fans turn against him.
Then, he turned the whole apology video around and made it into a promotional video where he proceeded to talk about nothing but products for the duration of the video.

This didn’t endear him to fans whatever because they were tuning in to see just what Jeffree’s motivations were, but he would never give that, leaving a very unsatisfied fanbase to speculate, but I’m guessing Jeffree thought that this type of publicity was good because it kept his name in people’s mouth.
However, it wasn’t good. Because maybe instead of making these apology videos that he obviously didn’t mean, perhaps he could have spent a little less on video promotional production and a little more in say, the quality control department.
People started off ordering the pallete’s just like always, but those that did order quickly said that the product that they received was not worth the money, that they way the pallettes were pressed was making them lack pigment, they had weird lumps and bumps in the formula and there were even pieces of metal in the eyeshadow.
These weren’t isolated incidents either, literally hundreds of customers on twitter, beautybay, and beautylish saying that this pallete was not worth the money.
Jeffree Star has not addressed this issue yet either. Usually Jeffree is pretty good about product issues though and doesn’t let them go for long. Will the customers who feel defrauded get a refund? Or will we be waiting for another apology/product plug video? Stay tuned!!!
