CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that star Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) recently opened up about his Daytime Emmy Win for Outstanding Supporting Actor and the reason why his win is just as important and meaningful for him compared to the first time he won an award over a decade ago. Here’s what he has to say.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview the handsome actor said that it was a great moment to win and it was an even better moment to win while in the company of his friends and family at home. He told the publication, “It was actually pretty cool just because you are in the comfort of your home, you are surrounded by people that probably wouldn’t be able to get tickets to the event, and also the fact that this year it was televised. The fact that it was on CBS and primetime was great. I know the ratings were really great for the show. It was a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Bryton also said that this win was very meaningful for him, mostly because the late Kristoff St. James won in this same category in the past, too. The actor explained, “Kristoff would always tease me about having the Outstanding Younger Actor kid Emmy because it took him a while to get Supporting. I think he got the younger actor one real early on in the 1990s.

To join him in that way really meant the world. I wish forever that we never had to film those episodes of Neil’s funeral. It will definitely be the most special thing I’ve ever won.” Bryton added, “Someone posted also the first time I won and I think he was the first person that hugged me as I walked down the aisle back in 2007. It’s even more special now.”
