CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers on Wednesday, June 24, viewers get an award-winning performance by Bryton James, who plays Devon Hamilton. The performance was first aired on October 16, 2006, shortly after Devon learned about his hearing loss. The news came hard to Devon, however, he has adjusted well over the past two decades.

Devon Hamilton has always loved music, and he’s good at it! In fact, it’s what he is known for in Genoa City. However, after a tragic accident, Devon’s hearing has been irreparably lost. Above losing his ability to communicate, he lost his big love: music. Of course, Devon has the support of his adoptive family. Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell), and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) are all providing Devon with support, but it is a road that he must walk alone.

After quite the struggle through his deafness, and an Emmy award for his broken-hearted performances, Devon was fitted with a cochlear implant. After many years, Devon is back in the music industry and I think everyone, and their dog forgot that he ever was deaf in the first place!

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is getting cocky thinking that Jabot is his company! However, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) disagrees with him. It’s no wonder that these two rarey ever got along. Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) is sleuthing around with dangerous secrets and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is getting involved. Unfortunately, it looks like she will never learn to mind her own business. We all love Victoria, but let’s not forget the time she got stabbed in 2020. Bryton James certainty did offer an award-winning performance on this episode! What was your favorite part?
