    ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is GH Filming Again? When Will ABC Air New Episodes?

    ABC 'General Hospital' Spoilers: Does Port Charles Have Enough New Episodes To Air Until May 21?

    ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal there’s one question on every fans mind. In fact, you can’t even go in a GH group anymore without seeing at least one daily post asking about a return. So far, we haven’t had any official announcements. But do we have some signs? Let’s take a look at the latest, and what it might mean.

    ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Twitter hints

    First off, there’s a Twitter post. A few days ago, Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) that seemed to set the stage. See the tweet below.

    As if to give more weight to this, Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) retweeted him and expressed excitement. Plus, we did hear some news before they were planning to get back on set this month. While one report indicates that got pushed back just a bit, we think the episode choices this week are telling.

    We also had Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) sharing her love for the show, and excitement to get back to it.

    ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Themes no more?

    First off, they’ve been very on top of telling us what is going on for the week. For example, when they first moved into only repeats, they announced Nurses’ Ball and Sonny and Carly themes before the respective weeks started. Same with the JaSam and Sonny’s Kids collections. However, this week? There was nothing. That seemed a bit off. Then, we got to see the guide for this week.

    ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Countdown?

    The last original GH aired on May 21st, with Flashback Friday ending on the 22nd. That was when the themes started. So, we found it interesting that today’s episode was May 6th. It was the one where Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) asks Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to speak up for her at the hearing. We also saw Sonny and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Korber) each pretending to broker peace. Tuesday does the next episode, then it jumps to the 11th and goes forward from there.

    ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Finally?

    This leads us to believe we’ll get new episodes in about two weeks or so. Assuming they don’t have any brief production hiccups like The Bold and the Beautiful. Why else would they be playing the last couple weeks in order?

    But there might be another cushion. CP Bialois has found it very interesting that both CBS shows and GH all ended new episodes with a perfect cliffhanger moment. This could mean that they had more episodes in the bank than we were led to believe. It would make sense to hold something back. Not only do they give the audience something big they’ll want to come back to see the end of, but it gives them a little extra wiggle room to get new episodes filmed. Is this the case? We’ll have to wait and see.
