Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Geoff Metcalfe has set his sights on a new target in Weatherfield as he looks to make sure that Yasmeen Nazir’s fightback ends.
Yasmeen has finally stood up to her abusive husband, and with the help of Elaine Jones, it would seem as though she will be able to evade a prison sentence for the attempted murder of Geoff.
However, it would appear as though Geoff will have one final plan up his sleeve, as he will set his sights on Alya Nazir. Spoilers have revealed that Geoff will try and manipulate Alya into taking an unusual position and try and take back control of the situation.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Alya Dragged Deeper Into Danger
Alya has been trying her best over the past couple of weeks to try and find a way to get her grandmother out of this situation. That has led to her clashing with Geoff and Tim Metcalfe on numerous occasions. Alya had finally been able to get the support of Sally Metcalfe, as she agreed to testify against her husband’s father at the court case.
She was also able to track down Elaine, who could hold the key to Yasmeen not facing a prison sentence. Elaine went through exactly the same predicament as Yasmeen and finally agreed to testify against Geoff earlier this week. She revealed to Alya that she was forced to give up her son as a result of the abuse that she suffered at the hands of Geoff.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Geoff Tries To Get To Elaine
Elaine is still frightened of Geoff as she knows what he is capable of. Spoilers have revealed that Elaine will be faced with a phone call from Geoff over coming weeks in a bid to ensure that she stays away from Weatherfield and no longer supports Yasmeen and her case.
Viewers will be hopeful that Elaine will be able to stay strong against the abusive ex-husband, as Alya has already counted on Elaine’s help to free Yasmeen from prison. Fans of the soap will be able to continue watching what happens next when the soap airs tonight on ITV.
