ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal we didn’t get to see the Tuesday, January 21st episode here in the U.S. However, thanks to Canadian viewers spilling all the details, we know there is so major stuff going on. Most of it is hinted at in the weekly promo, titled “Turf Wars”. And war is definitely on. Here’s what you need to know.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Strange opening
According to reports, the episode opened with present action, before going back to show what happened leading up to it. Guess they’re somewhat taking a cue from the NBC counterparts here. But, don’t worry, they didn’t go too far into the future. However, the turf war hinted at did get off to a shocking start.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Shots and casualties
Apparently, armed men attacked several locations. However, they all appear to be related to one person: Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). One, is the diner he, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Mike Corbin (Max Gail) are eating at ahead of Mike’s treatment. The other location is the docks, where Sonny’s other business operates a lot. As with the diner, people connected with Sonny are caught up in it, including Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). The worst is Laura Webber (Genie Francis). She actually got hit by one of the bullets. Finally, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) also finds herself in danger when Sonny’s warehouse is targeted.
We already know Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) has her eyes on Sonny and Co. She even told Jason after the Corinthos Coffee heist she feared a turf war in Port Charles. When word of this gets out, she’s gonna be on him so fast, his head will spin. Especially when the Mayor of the city is one of those injured. Expect complicated times ahead for this “humble coffee importer.”
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fallout
There are a few things we expect out of this. First off, we saw Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Michael fighting in the promo. He wants to break it off and eventually admits he’s trying to protect her. However, this also forces an “I love you” out of him. We expect a back-and-forth that will play out a while.
On the flip side, this could also drive a massive wedge between Sonny and Carly. Since Joss was one of those present during the dock attack, Carly should be thinking twice about Joss’ living situation. It’s one thing to know he’s in shady business, but when her grieving teen daughter nearly gets shot? That’s gotta be a whole other can of worms. Hang on, because this show is definitely heating up.
