It seems that it could make a child very sad if they found out that they were replaced. When Zane saw the new child that was playing Will, he was very confused. Tom said that he kept saying “I’m Will!” It can be difficult for a child to understand why they are no longer on the show with their mom. Tom said that she told him “You are Will, but you’re a different Will.” She wanted to do what she could to calm him down.

Tom said that eventually he asked her why she was the one who fired him from his job. She said that he seemed so upset and she was scared that she had scarred him for life! After a lot of explaining to Zane, she said he finally understood why he wasn’t on the show anymore.
