‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is feeling guilty, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is determined to stick with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is following her heart. Also, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) gets a dose of reality and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) goes too far. If you missed it, let’s get to today’s ‘General Hospital’ recap.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Dev’s mistake
Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) makes a big mistake today. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) shows up to ask about the foreman at Corinthos Coffee, who was reported missing by his wife. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) obviously deny knowing anything, but then Dev gets involved.
He also denies knowing of any problems the man was having at work, but then starts in on a kind of elaborate story. Sonny later pulls Dev aside and says that he made a mistake, because the bigger the story, the more holes can be poked in it. He advises Dev to keep it simple, and direct any further questions back to Sonny and Jason.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: A mother’s guilt
Nina is shocked to see a picture of Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) with her “daughter” and Michael. She makes an excuse and brings her phone to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). He’s shocked as well, and concerned about Cassandra’s involvement. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is also shown the picture and is also worried.
He, however, doesn’t want Finn to contact the authorities. He feels it will complicate things, but Finn insists. If she really did intentionally infect Sasha with this disease, they could have a very serious situation on their hands. Alone, Nina frets to Valentin about her “daughter” and how their connection is the reason Sasha is in this situation. She’s terrified that Sasha won’t survive.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Sticking it out
Speaking of Sasha, she and Michael both eventually learn who was really dining with them in Puerto Rico. Sasha is horrified to learn that the nice lady they ate with is a drug trafficker and worse.
None of this has changed anything for Michael, by the way. Despite the fact they were supposed to be casual, Michael’s been spending every minute possible at her side. She feels bad for it and reminds him that his attentions are anything but casual, but he doesn’t care. That’s all forgotten as far as he’s concerned—at least, until she’s well again and able to walk out of that hospital with him.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Snap out of it
The best moments today came from Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Having learned about Franco’s condition, she goes to visit him and promptly smacks him and tells him to “snap out of it.” He’s surprised by this and doesn’t quite get why she did that. Liesl calls him out for giving up on his real life, as well as everyone who’s been catering to his delusions.
She doesn’t give any you-know-what’s who he thinks he is. He’s really Franco, a very talented artist with a family. He’s also a good friend of hers, and she is going to be there for him. She won’t, however, just sit back and watch him throw all of the great things in his life away. Seriously. This scene was gold, and they need to have more interactions STAT.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Following her heart
Meanwhile, Elizabeth is also getting her own dose of reality, thanks to Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy). She drops by the see how Elizabeth is doing, and is dismayed to learn Elizabeth is keeping her distance from Franco on Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) advice. She, in her special blunt way, tells Elizabeth to stop listening to everyone else’s opinions about this and listen to her heart instead. It’s her marriage involved here. It looks like both she and Franco end up taking the good advice they’re given, because Elizabeth is just about to leave when Franco shows up at her door.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Moving too fast
Finally, Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) strikes out when she suggests marriage to Julian Jerome (William deVry) as a way to mark their new life beginning. He’s all for being with her forever and making their relationship official, but he thinks it’s a bad idea. At least, right now. He’s concerned that her run-in with Franco shook her and she’s trying to prove to Franco that she’s with someone else by rushing to tie the knot. She ends up admitting that it did play at least a small role in her decision, but she really does want to be with him. Looks like they’re going to hold off for now, though.
