‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that if you’re an old school soap watcher, then the name Michael E. Knight will sound familiar. Unless, of course, you’re just now getting back into soaps, which is a great time to do so! Still, the name rings a bell, right? That’s because it is familiar. Here’s what you need to know.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine) Teases Michael E. Knight Role In Memory Swap Debacle!
According to Soap Opera Digest, Michael E. Knight will be returning to daytime ala General Hospital, very soon! For those of you who weren’t regular viewers of the famed All My Children back in the day, from 1982-2011, he played Tad Martin, one half of the super couple Tad Martin and Dixie Cooney. They were touted as one of the greatest love stories ever told.
Originally, Tad was dubbed Tad “The Cad” Martin, but that all ended (well, for the most part) when he met Dixie. His first line to her was “Heaven help me, I’ve just forgotten every woman I’ve ever met.” Awww, be still our cold, dead, hook-up culture hearts!
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen him on-screen, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been around. In 2015 he was on Y&R as Dr. Simon Neville, a doctor who had previously lost his license for his unorthodox way of practicing medicine. He was commissioned by Gwen Randall (Nadine Nicole), for help in assisting Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) out of her coma.

He succeeded in this quest, but ultimately ended up drugging her when she did awake and try to escape (make up your mind, doc, in or out?) and then dropped her off at the hospital with instructions to Gwen that she had to finish the treatment by taking pills or else there could be dire consequences, but wasn’t entirely sure what those side effects could be. He left after one of the drugs being used to help Hilary failed, and she refused to let him help her anymore.
His former AMC cast mate, James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine) said he was uber-excited to work with Knight again! “I am thrilled, are you kidding me? I love that guy. He’s excited, too.” we’re all happy for him and glad to have him back on the daytime scene. We’ve missed him! There is no word on what role he will play on GH just yet, nor a real air date, but the thing is he’s going to start taping as soon as the show comes back from its mid-season hiatus so there’s always that to look forward to!” said the popular actor.
“I would love to share scenes with him.” Stuart goes on to say. And hey, who knows? It could definitely happen. I somehow think that Knight’s character is going to somehow be connected to the whole memory debacle, but I could be wrong. Guess we’ll have to stay tuned!!!
