Youtuber Joey Graceffa usually stays out of youtuber drama. He’s mainly a gaming youtuber and has branched out into a lot of animal rescue in the past year and a half by adopting some pregnant animals and letting them give birth in his home, which gave us some much needed serotonin during the pandemic (thanks Joey!), but he has also done more entertainment related things, if anybody remember “Storytellers” from a few years ago, that would be one of them, and the even more popular “Escape the Night” which is a series on youtube Red that a lot of youtubers participated in.

Recently in a podcast interview, Joey alluded to someone being a nightmare on the set of Seaon 4 of Escape the Night but didn’t say who. He didn’t expressly call anyone out, or even really elaborate on what went on, he just said that the person was a nightmare to work with.

Youtuber Joey Graceffa calls out Gabbie Hannah!

That could have been any number of people on Escape the Night, however, as soon as he said “Season 4” and someone having difficulty with their characters’ death, Gabbie Hannah’s hand shot up and said, “Ooh me, that was me!” when Joey literally didn’t give any specifics or anything about who it was.

In Joey’s words, Gabbie outed herself in this instance, she came forward and volunteered the info, and then somehow expected Joey to continue to stay quiet after she drew attention to herself. Make it make sense. Gabbie!

Joey said that, unlike the rumor that’s being perpetuated he never begged and pleaded for Gabbie to actually be on his show, he was simply trying to help out a friend when her social blade was literally in the toilet. Gabbie also blames her erratic beahvior on ADHD but Joey was quick to say in the video that that was not an excuse because half the cast had ADHD and they didn’t act like that.

Gabbie also said something about her food situation and having an eating disorder and how being on the set of Escape the Night triggered it, but Joey said that there was a sheet that she needed to fill out about dietary restrictions and the like and since Gabbie didn’t do it, they weren’t aware of anything that she needed that was special.

That’s not an unrealistic expectation on the set of any kind of production, they’re literally just trying to do right by their castmembers. He said his ex-boyfriend Daniel went to whole foods and got her her uber specific ‘healthy meals’ but that Gabbie didn’t even end up eating them, rather just left them out to rot.

    Wow.

The wardrobe was another thing that Gabbie went off the rails about, but Joey said that her initial fitting went well and that Gabbie said that she loved the outfit in question which ended with the wardrobe team making her a custom outfit in a color that would better fit her skin tone.

However, there were two more subsequent fittings that she was scheduled for that she just never showed up to. She had the stylist come to her studio for a fitting, but Gabbie stood her up for that fitting, by the way, the stylist was nine months pregnant.

The final straw was on the second day of filming (wow, that was quick!) when Gabbie was informed of the call times the next day of when to show up, and then she proceeded to curse out the PA that was sent to inform her and told them that she wasn’t showing up, Joey did what any content creator would do and had a meeting with the director and they decided to kill her off because she was literally making production life hell on everyone else, that was the only peaceful solution, he explained that this was the reason behind the “double-death” scene that no one was really that fond of. The More You Know.

He said Gabbie ended up giving him a million excuses and his “fake acceptance” of her apology was him just protecting his project because he didn’t want any other disasters during filming. Gabbie Hannah called him fake, but, seriously who hasn’t been fake at work from time to time?

Joey said that he has more receipts that he’s willing to share, even some video and audio footage fully illustrating just how bad Gabbie Hannah was and if he can find it, he’s going to share. We’re all waiting with bated breath. Stay tuned!!!
