‘Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) may be in a little over her head with all this surrogate talk. She may just need to step away from the situation for a little bit and relax because she’s coming off pretty damn strong to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
It must have felt pretty blindsiding to Mariah when she walked in and was asked point-blank to carry Abby’s child. There was no nuance to the conversation at all and instead, Abby just berated Mariah with information and questions.

At the end of the day it feels like Mariah will agree but for Abby to come out and bash her with it was weird. I can’t be the only one thinking Abby is losing her mind. But, she’s a Newman, and she wants what she wants when she wants it. I’m surprised her first instinct wasn’t to call daddy.
Viewers and fans commented on the clip, “I think she’s going to do it. She’s Abby and Chance’s friend so it makes sense for them to consider her a option.”, “Oh, what! Give up my life for nine months. She makes it sound like they’re doing Mariah a favor”, and “just wishing all involved a good pregnancy. but just still believe abby and chance would be perfect people to adopt…”.
Abby just wants to dive headfirst into everything and it’s not going to help her cause. She needs to back off, let everyone breathe, and realize that a baby isn’t something you get right away, no matter if you adopt, get a surrogate, or even carry your own. These things take time. Take a chill pill, Abby.
