‘Young And The Restless’ spoilers show that Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) is celebrating 41 years on the show, while Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) is celebrating 42 years this month! They have been the lifeblood of the series for decades and to celebrate, Y&R’s Instagram page shared a very special clip from 1981.
The clip shows one of the earliest meetings between the two actors as Victor is serving tea as Nikki gives an interview. It’s amazing to go so far back and see an iconic moment that would spawn four decades of on-screen romance and stories.

As someone who has just begun watching soaps in the last year, going back and seeing iconic moments like that has been a trip. Seeing actors who have been on the same show for so long is amazing and seeing their first interactions compared to now is incredible. There have been so many years of connection and growth, yet it seems like it was there from the beginning!
Congratulation to Braeden and Thomas for 41 & 42 years! Hope there are many more to come.
