‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) has always been the wild card between the Abbott and the Newman families but that is all about to change. While Abby might be a little less reckless these days, she also has a huge point to prove to everyone and that she’s a force to be reckoned with in the business world. Here’s what you need to know.
Melissa Ordway, who plays Abby Newman on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way to Soaps in Depth, “Being on her own is a good place for Abby. She has always felt the pressure of being caught between the Abbotts and the Newmans. Or feeling insecure, because when she worked at Newman, she was in Victor or Victoria’s shadow. Being on her own gives her the confidence that she needs.”

What’s more, Abby says that she is definitely following in her mother Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) footsteps. She says that it’s important for her to be a strong, independent woman, just like her mother.

Now, as far as what’s in store for Abby Newman remains to be seen. Right now she’s just trying to keep her head above water. She also has an incredible amount of stress juggling both Society and The Grand Phoenix at the same time. Plus, she has to work hard to keep all of her haters in Genoa City at bay!
With that said, there’s also a strong possibility that Abby might find a new man in the coming weeks. Sure, she has been unlucky in love for the longest time but a beautiful blonde like her doesn’t stay single for too long. We hear that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) has a thing for beautiful blondes in the Newman family! Now that would surely give Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) something to think about, right?
