‘Welcome to Plathville’ spoilers find that Micah Plath’s friend Sarah Lynn was also homeschooled, similar to the Plath children, but we found out that Max was also homeschooled.

Obviously neither Max nor Sarah Lynn’s upbringing was as strict as the Plath children’s, but Sarah Lynn said that her family was strict on the dress-code and only allowed her to wear skirts, and that they could only listen to Christian music.

The Plaths took that a step further and forced their children to only listen to classical music. It’s amazing that Moriah ever had any exposure to any music beyond classical.

I’m actually kind of glad that Micah and Moriah found people with similar life experiences to hang out with. The fact of the matter is, is that most teenagers grow up in your run of the mill public or private schools and they would really not have all that much to do with kids like Micah and Moriah.

They couldn’t relate, they couldn’t identify. Maybe that’s the reason that Micah invited Sarah Lynn along rather than his modeling friend because he could just be chill with Sarah Lynn and wouldn’t have to put on the romantic suitor role. Or maybe the other girl ended up dating someone else? I mean, it could happen, she was really pretty.

What amazes me is that Max was homeschooled because I originally thought that he wasn’t. He blended in a little too well, but maybe that’s because his upbringing was different.

He did say that his family liked to tackle problems head on, he just doesn’t really behave like your typical homeschooler at all. That’s a good thing because that counteracts Moriah’s typical homeschooler behavior, but it also clashes with her typical homeschool behavior, which can be a problem.

However, maybe Max didn’t start out in homeschool. Plenty of kids who didn’t start out in homeschool and transition to it later on blend in well, I’ve found. Sarah Lynn didn’t really strike me as the homeschooled type either, but then again, it’s not like you can tell just by looking at someone. We don’t wear labels. Stay tuned!!!
