‘Welcome to Plathville’ spoilers tells if you read that with the same intonation as Chandler Bing from Friends, then that is the correct reaction. Still, when they were clearing out the farmhouse so that the new family that they were renting to could move in, she discovered things that Moriah had written on the wall.

You would think that it was like Lydia’s prayer closet, and maybe it was in a way, but Kim described it as poetry and songs that had a decidedly darker edge to them. But what amazed me is how oblivious and unbothered she acted about the whole thing.

‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers: Can Kim Plath be any more oblivious?

She said, “I didn’t know she was hurting that badly.” which I honestly find hard to believe. Moriah tried, numerous times, to get Kim to hear her in the way that she wanted to be heard, to give her one ounce of trust, one ounce of freedom, one ounce of approval to just be herself, and while you might argue that Kim was pretty complicit when it came to shopping trips because she didn’t force Moriah to dress like Lydia, you could still tell that she didn’t approve and there’s really no telling what was said when the cameras were turned off.

Obviously, it got bad if Moriah said that they eventually stopped letting her go out altogether and told her that she would have to wait until she was 18 years old to explore the world.

Kim acts like her overprotectiveness was not damaging to any of her kids, and honestly, she seems to have a very superficial relationship with them. In fact, both of the Plaths seem to harbor really superficial relationships with their kids, Barry acts like he can’t relate to any of the kids, in fact Barry acts like he’s just recently came to planet earth  from another universe entirely most of the time.

Kim just acts like she is afraid to get really close and personal with any of her kids. Now, that’s just from observation, when the cameras are off things could be different, this is just an observation of how its portrayed on the show.

Honestly, Kim and Barry both act like really dumb 80’s sitcom parents most of the time, where the kids are actually the smart people on the show and the parents are just there for laughs. I hope this is just an act for the cameras. Stay tuned!!!
