A far cry from the purity culture she grew up in, Moriah Plath just posted on her instagram that she has enrolled in her first poledancing class and has posted video proof! Now, we’re not going to judge Morah simply because lots of suburban housewives have enrolled in the same kinds of classes all across the US so she’s not doing anything wrong by just learning the actual craft of pole dancing.
We would start questioning her choices if she suddenly decided to drop everything and do it as a full-time career but we really don’t think that Moriah rolls that way. Sure, she might dabble in the sexy and suggestive but it seems to end there.

Moriah Plath takes her first pole dancing class!
We fully expected sister in law Olivia to like the post because she is a supportive sister in law and has always championed Moriah in whatever she wanted to do, whether it be music, traveling, dating, or just being on her own Olivia has been there for her.
But there was no like that we could see by Olivia on this post, nor was there a like by her sister Lydia Plath, who coincidentally liked the post just before that in which Moriah is not dancing but simply walking across the floor of the studio… we guess that no one actually knew what Moriah was doing there, perhaps she didn’t tell them? Which is okay, Moriah’s and adult and doesn’t need to justify her actions to anyone really. Though we are surprised by a lack of a like from Olivia.
We do wonder if this is going to cause any kind of fallout within the Plath family. We also wonder if it may affect how Mom and Dad Kim and Barry Plath allow her to see her younger siblings. After all, they were pretty strict about not wanting the younger kids exposed to the “junk” of the world as Barry so eloquently put it once in season 1, so one wonders if this was not a final “Take that, Mom and Dad!” from Moriah.
But, it is simply a dance class and she’s not doing anything wrong by simply learning the art of dancing… in spite of what purity culture would have one believe. However, we’ ll continue to keep an eye on Moriah’s journey. Stay tuned!!!
