NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers for the week of May 16th reveal the DOOL writers had a surprise in store for fans. Now, we recently learned Peter Reckell would be coming to Beyond Salem in July, along with Kristian Alfonso as Hope Brady. However, there was a little something they left out in the original announcement. Here’s what you need to know.

So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate Beyond Salem will get a second season. The description says, “Spanning the entire globe, from Monte Carlo to Hong Kong, the beloved characters from Days of our Lives once again go “Beyond Salem!” as they trade the comforts of home for an adventure of a lifetime! Over the course of five episodes, heartwarming family reunions take a dangerous turn as a mysterious adversary wreaks havoc on their lives.” One of those, of course, will be Hope and her daughter, Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and son-in-law Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). We were curious how Bo was going to fit into this and it looks like this week’s DOOL will give us a clue.

In this week’s promo, we learned Bo will actually appear on the main series for at least one episode. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Ciara will be stunned to see her father, who appears to be a ghost, and wonder if Ben is seeing this as well. We’re going to assume this will have something to do with the Devil story and it’s possible conclusion this week. We’ve seen an angel get involved in it already, as well as the devil revive people for a time. So, it’s fitting that Bo will appear, possibly to help watch over his new grandson.
We’re looking forward to seeing what they have in store. It definitely makes us wonder about Beyond Salem and how the character will fit into the story. Is it possible he’ll be revived and he and Hope will ride off into the sunset? We’ll see. It’s just as likely he’ll be a ghostly presence there as well. We honestly are hoping for the former, rather than the latter. If Hope found out Bo was alive, or at least had clues pointing to that, it might make her absence a little more understandable. It’s made no sense to us that Hope wouldn’t have managed to get a flight at some point during Ciara’s pregnancy.

As for the fans, it seems the writers have made them very happy with this latest development. One fan wrote, “So happy Peter Reckell is coming back, even if only for a short time. Bo and Hope will always be the ultimate Days supercouple for me.”
Another commented, “I’m so happy to see Bo Brady again! That will put a millions of smiles on every Days fan. This is Must See Daytime TV next week! Set your VCRs and DVRs!”
“Oh man, that 15 seconds just wrecked me. Bo dying was the hardest one for me. I’ve been watching since the 90s when I was a kid and Bo and Hope were my favorite couple. I know it’s temporary but I’m glad to see Peter back,” wrote another YouTube user.
We have a feeling a lot of viewers might want to be prepared with tissues this week and when Beyond Salem premieres. As for us, we think Peter returning as Bo is a perfect way to cap off the possession story.
