If you’ve been dying to look like a seriously indebted and troubled individual who likes to wear the color green and a number patch on your tracksuit, we’ve got good news for you. There’s a new report that says Vans’ white slip on shoes is seeing a surge in sales, thanks to the hit Netflix series “Squid Game.”

In fact, the green tracksuits and pink boiler suits worn by the characters on the show are being sold online in record time before the upcoming Halloween holiday. Here’s what you need to know.

The massively popular dystopian Korean drama, which was written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, is about hundreds of cash-strapped contestants accept an invitation to compete in children’s games for a tempting prize, but the stakes are deadly.

Each character competing in the games has a problem at home. In one challenge, the characters are told to run towards a disturbing mannequin after it calls out ‘green light’ and must stop when ‘red light’ is shouted. If caught moving, the player is shot dead.

According to VF Corp, there is a small increase in demand for the white slip on Vans shoes, although it has not been determined that the characters in the series are wearing the brand in ‘Squid Game.’ But that hasn’t stopped shoppers from buying the shoes, which have become a new fashion staple of sorts.

“I’d call it a small spike,” Steve Rendle, chief executive and president of Vans parent VF Corp., told analysts Friday on the company’s second-quarter earnings call. He cautioned, however, that “this is not a Vans annual event.”

“This … has helped raise some media attention that we’ll leverage,” he said, noting that the company will continue to build on its connection to pop culture.
