Vanderpump Rules spoilers find that Jax and Brittany haven’t been seen on our screens since June of 2020, but the couple have managed to stay in the headlines.
First there was a Twitter feud between Jax and newcomer to the Vanderpump universe, Charlie Burnett.
Jax felt Charli owed her newfound fame to the OGs of the show and demanded she show some respect to cast members she shaded, like Jax himself whom she called an old man (slow your roll, Charli, the dude was only 40).
Vanderpump Rules: Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright- New Baby and New Reality Show?
In September, Jax and Brittany announced they were expecting their first child. Then, fresh off the “we can’t wait to start filming again” tour, the two announced in December they weren’t coming back to the eagerly awaited (and still waiting) season 9 of the reality series that made them both household names.
It is still debated if Jax and Brittany left the show on their own accord or if Jax was fired by Bravo and Brittany left out of solidarity.
Several other cast members were released from their contracts during the summer due to past racial slurs or actions on their behalf. It’s not a stretch to think Jax’s big ole, flapping mouth was the cause of his demise, also.
Jax’s party line however, is that he left the show due to the fact that he was 20 years older than the new cast coming in and, with a baby on the way, it no longer made sense to continue filming the same old arguments and tropes . He also claims it is a huge relief to no longer be a Vanderpump Rules cast member.
Yesterday, the couple became a family with the birth of baby boy Cruz, but the new baby smell hasn’t even begun to fade before we see Jax and Brittany in the headlines again- this time due to their involvement in bringing a new reality series to television.
Jax teased his and Brittany’s return to reality television saying, “We’re not walking away from TV.” Details are sketchy at best, but apparently the pair have already been filming ideas and pitching the new premise. It seems it will be a spin-off of sorts, but revolve around Brittany and Jax post their SURving days.
Honestly, if the newer cast members that came in to season 8 were anything to go by, I’d prefer to watch a new series revolving around life after SUR, especially if other OG cast are involved.
However, if Jax was indeed fired, it seems Bravo wouldn’t want to be associated with him anymore. On the other hand, if he did resign in order to start this new show and it is produced by Bravo, we can kiss seeing fired stars Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute goodbye.
