Aaron Carter’s brother, Nick Carter wanted to share some of his feelings about the incident and their relationship with each other. They had a very “complicated” relationship and he wanted to reach out to fans to try and express the pain in his heart.

When the news broke about Aaron’s death, Nick shared a few pictures of himself with his brother and explained to fans, “My heart has been broken today. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him never ever faded. I have always held onto the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss. But the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here.”

He went on to say, “I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz… Now you get a chance to finally have some peace you could never find here on earth. God, Please take care of my baby brother.”
Back in November of 2019, Nick filed a restraining order against his brother and told his fans, “In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife, and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take away every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.”
Aaron had a lot of struggles with drugs and alcohol and he told Oprah Winfrey in 2016 that he had started drinking heavily when he was on Dancing with the Stars in 2009. “I was telling people, ‘I’m on a very bath path right now, I need help.’ I called my mother. She took me down to her house. The next day I was at Betty Ford. “Aaron had been arrested for possession of marijuana and driving under the influence.
Aaron’s on-again-off-again partner, Melanie Martin had a son with him and she actually had taken out a restraining order on him as well. They had a huge fight where he ended up cracking three of her ribs and then threw her and their son out of his home. She thought that he was abusing pills at the time of their fight, “I think that during the days of our breakup, he took too many of his prescription pills and it gave him too much aggression. He probably doesn’t remember he did so.”
The Carter family continues to grieve over this tragic death.
