Aaron Carter Voluntarily Enter Rehab To Regain Custody Over His Son

Aaron Carter has revealed that he is voluntarily gone to a rehab program.

This decision has been made primarily in order to regain custody of his son, Prince, who just so happens to be 9-months-old. And as part of that process, Carter’s fiancée Melanie Martin’s mother has custody of the child due to worries over domestic violence and drugs from Carter.

While Aaron denied being violent after Martin accused him of hitting her, coupled with the fact that Martin later stated she made up the allegation, it has still made Aaron attend rehab to win over his son.

In his comments, Aaron said: “It’s an abstinence program and I work with an individual counselor. I do group therapy, parenting classes, domestic violence classes, I got myself certified in CPR, just a lot of different things.”

Nevertheless, Aaron admitted that his issues were not as serious as it was being made out. He expanded on how he does not have an addiction to any prescription drugs, but rather, he is seeking to manage the things that make him get triggered.

There is a particular focus on the use of weed, something which he admitted he gets a craving for. But once he manages to deal with that issue, Aaron is confident that he will be able to overcome his demons.

His following comments confirmed as much: “The main reason why I enrolled into Lionrock Recovery outpatient is to help with the weed. I don’t want to smoke weed anymore. I don’t really need to.”

The fans on social media did not take too kindly towards Aaron’s comments. This was on the grounds that they felt his prior track record suggested he was not being sincere.

As such, the comments towards him were very brutal indeed. One person wrote: “He’s not in rehab. His addiction is not being treated. He is just another sociopath that won’t stop being a scumbag.”
