According to social media, HBO has greenlit a Game of Thrones Sequel starring none other than Jon Snow, AKA, Kit Harrington. At the end of Game of Thrones we learned that Jon Snow was the real heir to the Iron Throne (even though Bran Stark was the one that took it over in the end.) because as it turns out he is the legitimate son of Rhaegar Targaryen (Wilf Scolding)and Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi).

Even though Rhaegar already had a wife and children, he decided to take on a side-chick anyway… or maybe he was just trying to do the sister wives thing as is common in the Targaryen tradition. Either way, that caused an entire war and that’s kind of how we ended up here.

There are a few things that happened at the end of the series that not everyone was satisfied with. Like, for instance, after all that build-up, Jon Snow was not the one to kill the Night’s King, rather it was his younger sister Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

While the scene itself was pretty bad-ass, a lot of fans of the series had some things to say about that, including Kit Harrington himself. “I was pissed!” he was quoted as saying in an interview and a lot of people were on board with that because they were too.

It would seem that the series got away with never truly revealing the identity of Jon Snow, so at first glance it looks like everything goes back to normal. But to those who are paying attention, we know that Lord Varys (Conleth Hill), the spider, wrote a lot of letters before he was sentenced to death by Danaerys Targaryen (Emelia Clarke) We only saw him burn one of the letters.

That’s not to mention the fact that Samwell Tarly (John Bradley), Jon’s longtime friend, discovered the secret as well. Also there is the fact of the matter that Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) told Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and there are people walking around who have this knowledge who aren’t dead by dragonfire.

So while we don’t know exactly what the sequel series will be about – we have some ideas of where to begin. There’s a secret going around Westeros and someone will try and expose it, but the thing is Jon has stated that he does not want the Iron Throne.

Considering what Drogon did to it in the last episode he doesn’t really have to worry about inheriting that old hunk of junk, but he doesn’t want the title of king… but will he have a choice? Considering its the Game of Thrones universe… their logic would say no. We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
