As we all know, Micah Plath moved out to California to pursue a modeling and possibly acting career. Right now he is staying at a friend’s place rent free because said friend is out of the country and has a place that he stays with with several friends that he knows.
We’ll assume that they’re all model/actors as well, but it isn’t really clear what they do for a living, at least not from this first episode. We’ll probably get a better idea as the season wears on. One thing is clear though, his friend group is decidedly more diverse in California than it was in Cairo, that’s for sure.
Could Micah Plath be a member of the LGBT community?
We wonder what Ma and Pa Plath would think of that? Let’s hope that they would be as supportive and embracing as they have seemingly raised their son to be.
Micah talked about how back in Cairo, he thought he was doing well, adjusting to the outside world and media, having never been exposed to it before now, but he soon learned after setting foot in California that he had a lot to learn, media-wise.
He doesn’t know things that every average 10 year old boy knows, he doesn’t know superheros, or Harry Potter, which amazed his friends that he had never watched a Harry Potter movie. Though, knowing homeschool and religious circles, that really doesn’t come as a surprise considering how a moritorium was put on Harry Potter somewhere in the mid-00’s by the more conservative parents.
Micah also wasn’t exposed to anything beyond cis/het sexuality, he said that there was a larger dating pool there for him, mostly in regard to girls. He went onto say, “There are boys that look like girls here.” as if that was the 8th wonder of the world. (Sometimes it is considering the transformation some trans ladies go through. Bravo!)
When asked if he had dated any boys that looked like girls, he said that he wasn’t aware of it if he had, and when probed further, asking if he would if the vibe were right he said, “That has yet to be determined.” so… could Micah have moved out to West Hollywood to possibly explore his sexuality? If so, he’s in the right place for it! Stay tuned!
