TLC ‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’ spoilers finds that mama Karen Derrico couldn’t attend little Derrick’s first basketball game because she had to stay home with the triplets, De’Aren, Dyver, and little Awesome Dawsyn. Gigi was the one who got to stay with her, and during this time is when Karen decided to open up to Gigi because she needed another adult to open up to besides her husband.
I could see that because believe it or not, parenthood is hard on Dad’s too, even though they may not admit it, and with as sensitive a place as they are in right now, perhaps Deon might take her venting about being tired as legit criticism of his parenting skill and let’s face it, the guy has a lot on his plate already.
However, Gigi brought up an excellent point. When Karen said that not being able to breastfeed and otherwise bond with Dawsyn was messing with her mind, she asked her if she had shared this with Deon, and Karen said that honestly they had not had a chance to really see each other.

They are too busy focusing on the children and what needs to get done. She simply told her that they have two different focuses right now, and while Gigi understood that, she underlined the fact that they have to have good communication in order to keep their own relationship going and they should not neglect that.
Gigi did sympathize with the struggle though, even if she couldn’t quite fully understand it. Gigi only had two children, not 14, and she always thought that having just the two was tough. She said she couldn’t imagine what maintaining a relatonship along with raising 14 children would be like… and a lot of us can’t.
A lot of us are still mystified by how exactly that goes down, but it does and they seem to be getting it done. Although, I do wonder if, in the future if we’re going to see some drama happen between those two.
Maybe not anything epic, but definitely a spat. I’m not sure with so many kids around if they could hide it very well. Eep. Well, I’m sure they’d try. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. Stay tuned!!!
