These two have been officially married for a couple of years now and they do still have a long distance relationship. Omar is still living in Syria and Avery is in the states. On April 13, Avery took to social media to explain what is going on with her and Omar. “I’m not sure why people are saying Omar and I aren’t together, but we are very much happily married. We have never split up. So for the people that rushed my page to see if the rumors were true, they aren’t. He is still my best friend.”

Followers of Avery on Instagram were very happy to hear this news. They replied very quickly. One wrote, “Ya’ll are my favorites. I am seriously rooting for you both.” Another wrote, “Wishing you all the best and that he can come over here soon.”
Things haven’t been easy for these two because of the distance in between them. They did get married in Lebanon when Avery came to visit. They applied for a spousal visa about two years ago and it has been tough for them to get the visa. It is tough for him to come to the states because of the travel ban that is in place right now.
The couple has talked about moving to Syria together, but there is a was happening there currently. They talked about moving to Canada as well, but Avery’s family would rather her stay in the states. They have a whole list of places that they would like to move to, so that is still in the equation for them for when it is safe to travel again. On March 17, Avery shared a very sweet picture of them together. The caption said, “Love has no boundaries. We will be able to show our kids how we met and how we defied all the odds.”
We are so happy that Omar and Avery are still together. We love to hear about them and do enjoy knowing that they are still happy and in love.
