TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days’ Spoilers finds that all of us who have been following the show have been snarking at David Murphey and his “girlfriend”, a Ukrainian woman named Lana, who we honestly all thought was a chatbot run by a lot of people, who weren’t necessarily women. This suspicion was especially driven home by the fact that when David went to the address in the Ukraine that Lana had previously provided, an elderly man answered the door and basically told him that no one by the name of Lana had ever lived there. That he had lived there since 1995. Poor David left the Ukraine alone, sad, and depressed.
He ended up hiring a private eye to investigate the whole Lana thing and got some news that really made him angry. The private eye told him that Lana’s picture was used on literally hundreds of accounts and that he was basically being catfished. He even said it was a very common thing that happens in the Ukraine. I felt sorry for poor David but kind of worried for his mental stability when he insisted that they weren’t real and that it was just someone using Lana’s pictures. Okay, even so, all evidence was pointing to what the PI said being true.

Recently some footage has surfaced that includes David hugging Lana! The real Lana! Not a chatbot, not a cardboard cut out, but the real, flesh and blood, Lana! And the thing is, they both look happy! And David even got down on one knee and proposed to her in the airport! Lana smiled and giggled and said yes. Although, one has to wonder if she knew just what she was agreeing to because she doesn’t speak a word of english but let’s hope that getting down on one knee is a universal enough gesture for anyone to understand.
In one of these clips however Lana said something that raised a few eyebrows. When asked a little about herself by a producer she said”I like receiving money and gifts.”, but when further prodded by said producer, “How much money has David spent on you?” And Lana’s entire demeanor changed. She quickly shut down and said, “Can we skip this question?” Either she doesn’t know or she’s not comfortable. David was right about two things, one that Lana exists and two that she cannot speak a word of english. (Besides the word yes… oooh that could prove problematic.) But the question still remains, does she actually love David? Stay tuned!!!
