TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days’ spoilers finds that as we all know David Murphey finally met Lana the chatbot – excuse me – his Ukrainian girlfriend at the monument in Kiev, Ukraine. She had just “been busy” when he was previously in the Ukraine and had been too overwhelmed to meet him the last time he was in Ukraine. Okay whatever, Lana. However now, I have a question for David. He met Lana at the monument carrying a bag. A bag that was very clearly a Victoria’s Secret bag. Now, I know they’ve supposedly been together for 7 years but perhaps the first actual, tangible meeting between strangers should not include a gift from Victoria’s Secret!
Seriously, it begs the question of what on earth did he expect was going to happen? Did he actually think that she was going to go behind one of the pillars of that monument, change into whatever he’d bought her and they’d just consummate their love right there? Or did he expect she would just want to practically drag him off to the hotel first thing after waiting so long because obviously the woman must be thirsty! Can you imagine holding out for 7 years for a prize like David? Oof, okay sorry that level of sarcasm hurt. I won’t do that again, too strenuous.

But seriously, if I were Lana I’d be terrified if I were already nervous and overwhelmed and my internet boyfriend of 7 years showed up in public with a Victoria’s Secret bag in tow. I mean, what kind of message does that send? Talk about putting pressure on the situation! That’s just… yike! If Lana wasn’t already overwhelmed, I would think that that would send her running. Another thing I noticed when Lana finally showed up is that she looks a few years older than her alleged age of 27. Now, it’s okay, we all know that age is just a number and you’re only as young as you feel, but David’s easily in his 60’s… why lie that much? Lana looks like she’s pushing 40… we can tell by the smile lines.
Maybe next time you meet Lana (if there is indeed a next time) then maybe, just maybe, David needs to show up with a box from Tiffany’s instead of a bag from Victoria’s Secret. Just sayin’. But will he learn his lesson? Stay tuned!!!
