Just when you thought TikTok couldn’t go any lower, this happens. There are new reports that say TikTok star Zoe Laverne, 19, is being forced to apologize after she was caught kissing a 13-year-old fan in what she described as a moment in which they “just ended up catching feelings for each other.”
According to the New York Post, Zoe, who has about 18 million followers on the popular social media app, made her apology during a livestream this week. While she says that she didn’t “groom” the young fan, she admits that her behavior was not only controversial, but flat out wrong, too. The young boy is a fellow TikToker that goes by the name of Connor.

She said, “I didn’t groom Connor, I wouldn’t do that. He’s a kid and I’m aware of that. It just happened. We both were in a dark place when we first became friends and we both just ended up catching feelings for each other. And friends do that, they catch feelings for each other. That’s not a bad thing. Yes, the age is a bad thing. Yes, it’s wrong. Yes, it’s not good. We both realized that and we stopped.”
It’s been noted that Connor, who also has 350,000 followers, is frequently seen in Zoe’s videos. However, the blonde social media starlet says that they have since ended their friendship. However, she did come clean to Connor’s mother about what happened after screenshots were taken from her private Instagram account.
Zoe explained, “She wasn’t happy obviously but she understood that we are both teenagers and that feelings can be caught.” Zoe’s mother, meanwhile, has come to her daughter’s defense by saying, “Anybody can reach over and kiss somebody. They’re best friends.”
