‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers say that while it might seem like Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is in love with a mannequin that looks like Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), there’s more to this storyline that what fans are seeing. Here’s what actor Matthew Atkinson has to say about it.
In a new interview with TV Line, the handsome actor says that while some people are seeing this storyline as a strange fetish that Thomas might have, Matthew says that’s not the case at all. Instead, he’s dealing with a mental health issue and a crisis that will definitely see some serious intervention down the line.

Matthew puts it this way, “We have a guy who’s suffering from severe mental illness. He doesn’t understand that this is happening; he’s living in a reality that’s very different from the one most people live in. A lot of people are suffering from mental illness and maybe we should talk about these things a little more?”
It’s also being pointed out that Thomas didn’t just have the mannequin made, as it was previously used for promotions for the Hope for the Future charity event. Matthew further explains, “This isn’t a fetish story. As it goes along, we’ll understand why this has and is happening to him. I had a conversation with a psychologist about what people suffering from paranoid schizophrenia experience. I’m trying to tell the story from this character and give it as much credence as possible.”
