‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’re ready to set the stage for a new week.
We’ve got some fun spoilery goodies for Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26 and things are going to get interesting.
It looks like Devon Winters (Bryton James) will surprise Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) by asking her to marry him.
She’ll be surprised and we assume she’ll say yes. Things have been good between them lately. Well, aside from him expecting her to fall in line behind him at work.
But that won’t be an issue going forward. Devon works well with everyone, right?
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is going to try to buy Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) off.
He’ll announce to her and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) that he’s in the process of buying a company nearly as large as Newman Enterprises.
Nikki won’t look impressed since she’s going to know Victor is trying to placate her. He’s trying to make sure everyone is happy while he goes on his vengeance spree.
We don’t think it’s going to work like he thinks it will. Not this time.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For the Week of Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26: Popping the question
Given their pasts, it’s surprising and not surprising that Devon will ask Abby to marry him.
Their relationship began by them cheating on their previous partners. With Abby being married to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) no less.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers thinks Abby will agree, but it may take some convincing.
We don’t think she’ll be ready to jump into another marriage, but it is a fresh start for them.
They have their own company and Devon will want her to be his partner. A shame he doesn’t play well with others when it comes to business.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For the Week of Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26: Nikki’s not buying it
It’s so obvious that Victor is trying to placate Nikki with her own company so he can keep Adam where he’s at.
Nikki will see right through him and so will Adam, and this will further the dynamic between the two.
Adam was working great with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but Victor blew that up for his vengeance.
And with Adam looking to protect Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Nikki knowing Victor’s up to something, some explaining will ne needed.
So, we think she’ll refuse and Victor will lose his patience again. He simply can’t understand how he’s so irrational and that others have minds of their own.
Since he’s not having a mental break, we doubt there will be much sympathy for him in that regard.
