‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Detective Burrows (Matt Cohen) make a good couple.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sharon and Detective Burrows Share Some Chemistry
Some fans have noticed that Sharon and the hunky new detective have some chemistry. Burrows recently joined the GCPD and has taken Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) place.
Burrows is the new cop in town, and he’s been working with Sharon, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), Devon Winters (Bryton James, and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) on Dominic Winters’ (Ethan Ray Clark) case.
Sharon’s daughter, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), kidnapped Abby and Devon’s son, Dominic, and Sharon is worried sick about both of them.
Also, in the February 10th episode, Abby and Devon called the detective “James.” Y&R may be laying the groundwork for Burrows to plant his roots in Genoa City and potentially get his own story.
As viewers know, any good soap arc includes a love story, and this “James” is no different. We would like to know if Sharon may fit the bill.
Sharon feels responsible for Mariah’s situation and has not given Mariah the support she needed to overcome her latest mental health crisis.

Mariah has been suffering from a severe mental breakdown and has been having some disturbing visions of Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
She ended her marriage to Tessa and had been staying in a hotel room until recently. Mariah was once involved in a cult led by Ian.
Ian has been instructing Mariah on what to do, which led to her kidnapping Dominic. That said, Burrows was very kind to Sharon because he understands she’s suffering right along with Abby and Devon.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sharon Has a History of Being Romantically Involved with Men on the Right Side of the Law
James told Sharon that once Dominic and Mariah were found, Mariah would be treated with care and respect. James wanted to let Sharon know that she could trust him.
Plus, Sharon has an interesting romantic history with men on the right side of the law. Remember her romances with Dylan McCavoy (Steve Burton), Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilassuso), and, of course, Chance.
It’s not difficult to imagine that Sharon may become smitten with the handsome cop at some point. Not to mention, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) seems preoccupied right now with his pain pills.

Sharon’s ex-husband is about to take the long, hard road into addiction. He likely won’t be in any condition to reunite with Sharon anytime soon.
She’ll likely need someone to help give her support once she figures out that Nick has an addiction. Sharon may turn to Burrows.
In the situation with Dominic and Mariah, the two were spotted in Oklahoma. They have been traveling around while Mariah formulates a plan to keep Dominic and raise him as her own.
Devon and Abby want Sharon to come with them to find Dominic and Mariah. Once they do, Sharon will need even more support since Mariah will either end up back in a mental institution or go to prison.
We get the sense that James might be good for Sharon. Despite his questionable introduction as a character, Burrows seems like someone we may want to get to know better.
