‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Tessa Is Falling Hard for Daniel, While Mariah Has Ignored Her
Y&R spoilers hint that a major baby twist may be in the works for Daniel and Tessa. Tessa fought hard for her marriage, but her wife, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), continues to be haunted by Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
It’s a storyline that’s definitely beneath Camryn Grimes’ talents. It’s not exactly entertaining to watch Mariah being tortured by her visions of Ian and hanging out in a motel room, taking life advice from a ghost.
That said, Tessa seems to be moving on with Daniel, and it’s clear they have strong feelings for each other.
Tessa is falling hard for Daniel after their well-crafted slow-burn. It started with Tessa teaching Daniel how to play the guitar, and now it’s become something much more.
They both know what it’s like to mourn a devastating loss: Tessa with Mariah and Daniel with his late wife, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom). Daniel and Tessa have offered each other invaluable support.
Mariah also gave Tessa the divorce papers; what should Tessa do? We don’t blame her for starting up a new romance. Her wife won’t let her in, and at a certain point, one has to cut their losses.
When Tessa tried to visit Mariah at the clinic, Mariah pretty much blew her off, then blocked her from visiting entirely. Every signal Mariah sends to Tessa screams at her to let go.
Mariah even refused to take her wife’s call on Christmas. Tessa wanted to see her and bring their daughter. Mariah wouldn’t answer the phone. It’s not Tessa’s fault that she wants to be with someone else.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Tessa Is Likely Not Using Birth Control
Meanwhile, Ian has told Mariah to leave her family behind and join him on the dark side. She’s basically trapped in a one-woman cult with an evil dead man who comes to her by way of hallucinations.
Mariah’s mental health is spiraling out of control, but Tessa has no idea. We anticipate the situation will become even more complicated if Tessa becomes pregnant.
Tessa likely wasn’t using birth control when she was with Mariah, and now, she’s sleeping with Daniel. We can imagine Mariah eventually coming home to find that Tessa has moved on with Daniel and is expecting his child.
It could lead to a storyline in which Tessa must choose between her developing feelings for Daniel and a reunion with Mariah, which would be very soapy.
Daniel and Tessa have become the couple to root for in this triangle since Mariah has been MIA and has given up trying. Plus, Daniel has been there for Tessa and vice versa. The two of them share a special bond.
It’s unclear whether Tessa would choose to go back to Mariah, especially if she’s pregnant with Daniel’s child and is starting a family with Daniel, Aria, and their new baby.
We can picture Tessa and Daniel walking down the aisle on their wedding day, with Mariah showing up to protest their union and pump up the drama.
