‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may help his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), win Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) after his betrayal with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Patty Has Spent Decades Being Obsessed with Jack
Y&R fans know that Victor Newman (Eric Braden) recently had Jack kidnapped and put him on a yacht with his crazy ex-wife, Patty.
Patty has spent decades obsessing over Jack, and her wish came true while they were on the boat together. Apparently, either Patty or Victor managed to drug Jack, and he lost control.
Jack ended up sleeping with Patty. Meanwhile, Diane, Kyle, and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) had arranged a rescue mission to find Jack.
When they arrived on the yacht, they walked in on Jack and Patty in bed together. All of them were understandably shocked.
When Jack and Diane were finally alone in the room together, Jack tried to explain to Diane that he had been drugged.
Diane didn’t want to hear it, and when they all returned home, she moved out of the Abbott mansion. Now, Jack is trying everything to save his marriage.
Kyle believes his parents will overcome Jack’s betrayal and find their way back to each other. It’s only a matter of time. He told Diane the other day that Jack had to be seriously out of his mind to betray their marriage.
However, Diane is hanging tough and sticking to her guns on this one. Yet, when she ran into Patty, she did accuse her of purposefully drugging her husband to get him into bed.
That is a sign she may understand the situation deep down. She’s well aware that Jack has struggled with addiction.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Kyle Believes His Parents Will Overcome Jack’s Betrayal
Kyle is maintaining a positive attitude and currently serving as a supportive son and sounding board, especially for his heartbroken mom.
Jack may become desperate and ultimately turn to Kyle for help, acting as a matchmaker to reunite with Diane.
Kyle may have some good ideas for Jack to woo Diane. Who would know better how to reunite his parents than their own son?
Kyle loves his parents and knows that they were very happy together before the Patty scandal. Jack may convince his son to help him make headway with Diane.
He may pitch in to help Jack plan a grand romantic gesture to soften Diane’s stance toward him. Jack will undoubtedly do whatever it takes to get his marriage to Diane back on track.
Jack could rent out the GCAC restaurant and have the cook prepare a special dinner. Or, he could go old-school and purchase a piece of expensive jewelry to show his devotion.
However, it may take a lot more than a fancy private dinner and diamonds to persuade Diane. She’s a tough cookie, and she may need Jack to do more to prove his love for her.
That said, Jack has deeply hurt Diane and needs to give her some time first to work toward forgiving him.
Jack has really dug himself a hole here with Patty, and obviously, his wife needs to see beyond a shadow of a doubt that she’s the only one for him.
