‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers reveal that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) won’t make it as a couple.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Claire and Kyle Look Good “On Paper”
On paper, Claire and Kyle have all the makings of a super couple. They have an easy chemistry and a fresh new romance. Their families don’t get along, creating a compelling Romeo and Juliet-type story.
That being said, not all of their story works in their favor. Claire is keeping a big secret from Kyle about how exactly her aunt Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) died. However, we all know her suicide was the result of Claire filling her cup with poisoned tea.

Claire omitted that critical little detail when she told Kyle what happened that night. The psychopath also raised Claire, and that’s always going to be a part of who she is, no matter how much therapy she has to resolve her trauma.
Another hurdle in their path is the Great Victor Newman (Eric Braden), who made it clear to Kyle that he wants him to stay away from Claire.
Victor has also been encouraging Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) to spend more time with Kyle and their son, Harrison Newman-Abbott (Redding Munsell), who, more than anything, wants his parents to get back together.

Harrison may love Claire, but he would no doubt prefer to be with Kyle and Summer as a family. He’s just like any kid who longs for his divorced parents to find their way back to each other.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Kyle And Summer Have A Long History Together
Speaking of Summer, she seems to want her family back. Being Phyllis Newman’s (Michelle Stafford) daughter, she may pull out all the stops to make that happen.
Summer and Kyle also have a history together that Claire and Kyle do not share. Kyle tends to always reunite with Summer. Their relationship has been fraught with multiple breakups and reconciliations.
There may even come a time when Claire starts to see Kyle and Summer’s connection and wishes she had listened to Victor.
Some fans also feel that Claire and Kyle’s relationship feels too much like a fairytale. It lacks real-life conflicts or difficulties that make them as a couple more relatable.
Another issue with Claire and the fans is Claire’s inexplicable transformation from the would-be murderer who tried to poison the Newman family to an innocent angel who can do no wrong.
After trying to kill them, Claire may have received too warm of a welcome into the Newman clan. She participated in Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) torture when she was hooked up to an IV filled with vodka. Claire is depicted as being too naive and had never been with a man before her first time with Kyle.

It’s hard to imagine, but Claire claimed that she was sheltered by her aunt, who never allowed her to have outside connections.
It seems Claire may be the one to have her heart broken in this scenario. She’s never felt about anyone the way she feels about Kyle. If Kyle decides to return to Summer, she’ll be left devastated.
