This looks like Wednesday, August 14 is going to be a interesting character building episode.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will help talk Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) down and to accept Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)’s joint custody offer.
Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will come to a decision and will inform the family she wants to change her name.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will especially enjoy the news as he dreams of her working in the family empire some day.
Alan Laurant (Christopher Cousins) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) return and surprise Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) with how close they’ve become.

Saying Summer is stressed out is an understatement, and she’ll lean on Chance to help soothe her.
She’ll be worried about the kind of influence Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) has on Kyle, and how Kyle didn’t like her ultimatum.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think Chance will offer the idea that she needs to step back. By that he’ll mean to do what’s best for their son, and how joint custody was working.
It’s not what she wants to hear, but she needs to and we think it’ll work to diffuse the situation. At least, until Kyle does something else to trigger her.

After careful thinking, it looks like Claire will decide to officially change her name from Grace to Newman.
She’ll tell her mother, and then the two of them will inform Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Victor will be thrilled and officially welcome her to the family. He’ll hope that one day she’ll join the rest of the family working in the Newman empire.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Wednesday, August 14: An official item
We’re going to get some good Abbott family time when Traci and Alan return to town after the movie deal for one of her books falls through.
We think this will be a good scene as they’ll join Jack, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for dinner.
Jack will be surprised and happy to see them so happy together, while Billy will address the elephant in the room.
He’ll ask how their relationship will continue living on separate continents. Alan will explain that once Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is released at the end of summer he’s moving there.
He wants to be with Traci, and that’s cool to see. We love seeing Traci happy and finding a new love interest is perfect for her. We just hope he’s not his evil twin in disguise.
