Victor has decided he is tired of being on the sidelines. It is time for him to step up again and lead Newman Enterprises. While he has never had anything to complain about regarding Victoria’s leadership, he suddenly is demoting her and is going to take the helm himself. Is this just because he doesn’t want to be useless?
Victoria has been blindsided by this decision. It was already crazy enough to her that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was demoted and her mother Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) was moved to Newman Media. This left a co-CEO opening.
Victor asked Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to take the co-CEO position and lead with his sister. Nick has decided not to take the role. Instead, he is planning to go into business with Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case) at her newly acquired Kirsten Incorporated.
Since there is an empty position due to Nick’s decision, Victoria’s hope was that Victor would allow Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to move into that spot. That would put Nate at the top of the family and on the same level with her. Victor says there is no way.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Fight
When Victoria presses Victor about the empty co-CEO spot, he tells her that it will be hers. She doesn’t understand what he means until he says that he will be taking over her top spot.
This is shocking and disturbing to her. She has done a great job, and he has never had any complaints. Why is he coming out of semi-retirement to make such a big move?
Victoria is furious when Victor yells that this is his plan, and she has to role with it. After letting some of her emotions and anger out in bed with Nate, her mind clears.
She is going to fight Victor and prove that he is no longer capable of leading Newman Enterprises. How is he going to handle this? Doesn’t he expect that Victoria will react in this way? What do you think will happen?
