‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may be finally putting up her guard where it comes to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). It is truly a good idea and one that has taken her long enough.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Family’s Concern
Since Victoria hired Nate to work at Newman, everyone has been a little reticent about him. That came from the fact that he was willing to betray his family, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) at Chancell0r-Winters.
This concern amped up when Victoria started sleeping with Nate. Nicholas especially believed that Nate was despicable for cheating on Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) with Victoria. Her whole family remembers the drama and the way she was hurt by Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). They don’t want Victoria to be hurt again.
Victoria seems to be attracted to men who are ambitious and have a thirst for power. This ambition causes them to look out for number and one and they can bring pain and destruction on everyone else. This is what Victoria’s family is concerned about.
Nicholas’ concerns seem even more valid as Victoria asks him to take a leave of absence. When Nick leaves, she gives Nate his position as COO. Nate wants to make it to the top and wants to run Newman with Victoria in the future. He has made his intentions clear, and his ambition is attractive to her.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Seeing More Clearly
When Nate tries to help Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), but doesn’t tell Victoria what it is all about, it makes her uncomfortable. She still defends Nate to her family, giving them excuses and a reason for the actions that he took. However, when they are alone, she confronts him.
This connection between Nate and Audra precedes Nate and Victoria‘s relationship. However, Nate is doing things to help Audra which has not explained to Victoria. It bothers her that she is being kept out of the loop. What else is keeping from her? What other plans are they hatching that she does not know about?
This helps her see finally that she can’t fully trust Nate. His ambition always makes him look out for number 1 and always makes their relationship vulnerable to his power plays. He says he won’t keep anymore secrets from her. What do you think? Is Nate going to hurt Victoria in the future?
