‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that there seems to be an untapped dynamic in Genoa City, and that’s between the megalithic man himself, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). While they have interactions, it feels like we’re missing out on something bigger.
In today’s episode, we get another brief interaction between the two and it has many fans wanting more. There’s a really unique dynamic between them where Victor is almost seen as a father figure. Of course, we could go into the history with Victor and Devon’s father, and why there is this dynamic. But we’re saying we need more of it.

The way Devon looks up to Victor and respects him is interesting but more interesting is how it seems mutual. Victor doesn’t show respect to a lot of people and believes himself to be better than many. However, there’s something about Devon that he likes and respects and that’s saying a lot.
I would love to see this relationship explored further, especially with Devon getting closer to Dominic, it could make for a really interesting storyline, where things may crumble between the two as decisions about Dominic conflict with their ideologies.
I hope we see more interactions in the future, there’s definitely something there and maybe Devon could even fuel some more competition between the Newman children since Victor looks upon with him such grace.
