‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), is on the verge of experiencing a deepening of her feelings for Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
What initially started as a friendly connection is rapidly transforming into something more profound, particularly from Summer’s perspective. While there’s a possibility that Chance also holds more than platonic feelings for Summer, he’s not prepared to explore these emotions just yet.
Instead, Chance is wholly focused on his pursuit of Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and their romance is steadily progressing. Meanwhile, Summer is currently unattached and feels a strong attraction to Chance, so it’s only a matter of time before she musters the courage to take a decisive step forward.
It’s inevitable that a moment will come when Summer can no longer contain her attraction, and she might act upon it.
This potential twist in their relationship could coincide with a surprise at the wedding celebration of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), scheduled for this October.
While it’s easy to imagine Sharon and Chance attending the event together, it may not be Sharon who Chance ends up leaving with!

Irrespective of the outcome, after witnessing Diane and Jack renew their vows in front of their loved ones, Summer might find herself overwhelmed by nostalgia. It seems clear that Jack and Diane are determined to publicly declare their enduring love and commitment to each other.
Diane and Jack’s unwavering affection could evoke mixed emotions in Summer, especially as she reflects on her own past relationship with Kyle, which ultimately didn’t stand the test of time.
The loss of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), was a painful experience for Summer, and she might seek a moment of solitude away from the festivities to gather her thoughts.
This could lead to Chance pursuing Summer to check on her, only to be taken by surprise when she unexpectedly kisses him.
At this upcoming wedding celebration, Summer might indeed initiate a surprising kiss with Chance, leaving him bewildered, particularly if Sharon happens to witness this poignant moment.
