‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers intimate that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) doesn’t seem to realize that deep down, she’s jealous of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) blossoming romance.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Is Jealous Of Claire’s Connection With Harrison
Summer has been particularly jealous of Claire’s connection with her son, Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell). A recent example was when Summer insisted that she and Kyle tell Harrison together that Claire could no longer be Harrison’s nanny.
At first, Kyle and Summer agreed to let Claire talk to Harrison and tell him she could no longer be his nanny. But Summer changed her mind.
Instead of letting Claire talk to Harrison, Summer wanted to present a “united front” as parents when breaking the news to Harrison. With or without realizing it, Summer was trying to turn Harrison against Claire. When Summer saw Kyle and Claire at Society, she saw with her own eyes that they had grown closer, and it was apparent she wasn’t too thrilled about it.
Summer made it a point to go to their table to say hi. The exchange between the three of them felt awkward and forced. It was clear Summer was trying to determine what was going on with the new couple.
Summer and Kyle shared a few close moments lately. However, Kyle is head over heels for Claire. Kyle is sensitive to Summer’s feelings. He even asked Summer if she was okay with him dating Claire.
Summer claims that it’s Kyle’s business who he dates, but is she kidding herself? If looks could kill the way Summer looked at Kyle and Claire in Society, it would have killed them. She was way too interested in their interaction.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Aspires To Reunite With Kyle And Harrison
Phyllis Newman’s (Michelle Stafford) daughter initially had issues with Claire. Claire tried to poison her family. However, Claire went to treatment and was healed. She seems to be a changed woman unless it’s all an act.
But we always thought there was more to it than that. Summer seemed to disapprove of Kyle’s friendship with Claire, just as she didn’t like his association with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Summer has a jealous streak. When Kyle hired Claire as Harrison’s nanny, she revealed her feelings. She threw an absolute fit. She didn’t like how close Claire was to Harrison.
Summer tried to keep Claire away from Harrison. Not only that, she tried to get custody of Harrison, as she claimed she disagreed with Kyle’s parenting and lifestyle choices.
It looks like Summer’s relationship with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) hasn’t worked out ever since; she wants a warm reunion with Kyle and her son.
Kyle was the first person Summer told about Chance. She can confide in Kyle because he’s familiar. They were a family before Phyllis pretended to be dead and framed Kyle’s mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), for the murder.
Kyle and Claire are heating up on Y&R. Simultaneously, Summer appears to be the jealous ex. Will Kyle and Claire make it as a couple, or will Summer succeed in getting Claire away from Kyle and Harrison?
