‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) should have walked away from Billy Abbot (Jason Thompson) for good.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sally Had A Successful Career She Loved
Sally has always had a major passion for fashion and should be following her dreams. Instead, she is wasting her talent by working with Billy at Abbott Communications.
Sally had a satisfying career at Marchetti and was moving up in the world. She adored her job and shouldn’t have abandoned it for Billy.
For a long time, Billy has been driven by two main agendas: reclaiming his role at Chancellor and defeating Victor Newman (Eric Braden).

Billy’s obsession with revenge and taking back what he perceives as his ultimately drove a wedge between him and Sally.
Fans know that Billy coerced Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) into withdrawing the funding for his new company and tried to align himself with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), which ultimately ended in disaster.
Billy has since promised Sally he’s going to cast aside his fixations and put her first. Sally has been waiting for Billy to get his priorities straight and put his ruthless desires on the back burner.
Now, Billy has changed his mind about Abbott Communications and is making another attempt to secure funding.

When Billy went back to Jack to ask for help, his brother was very vocal about his feelings regarding Billy’s indecisiveness and refused to give him the money.
That being said, Billy had no issue with destroying everything Sally had achieved to fulfill his selfish ambitions. Sally is an intelligent, beautiful, formidable woman who deserves better than someone as flaky as Billy.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sally Contacted Jill For Help To Fund Abbott Communications
Even if Billy manages to let go of his obsession with Chancellor, he’ll no doubt get distracted by the next shiny object that captures his attention.
Truth be told, Billy has always been a wildcard and someone who takes foolish risks, which consistently result in poor outcomes. Billy typically fails at every ridiculous venture he pursues.
Sally should be with a man who is as headstrong and stable as she is. Cane was smart to end their agreement, as he sees Billy as unpredictable, irresponsible, and incapable of making rational decisions.
Billy is too self-absorbed to treat Sally the way she should be treated. The character needs to change if he genuinely wants to be with a woman like Sally.
He needs to grow up and take some responsibility for his life instead of making everyone else dance attendance around him.

Additionally, Sally recently contacted Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton) for help with Billy’s new company. Sally explained to Jill that Billy was insistent on reclaiming Chancellor and proving something to Billy’s mother.
Jill told Sally that she would come to Genoa City for a few days and they would continue their discussion.
She paid Sally the ultimate compliment, saying that she could see why Billy was attracted to her. Jill also saw this as an opportunity to reconcile with Billy.
We have to wonder how Billy will feel about Sally running to his mother for help. Will he be furious with Sally or grateful?
