There’s an interesting change happening in Genoa City, and “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are curious what the end result will be with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
While it does look like Adam’s remorseful and wants to do right by his father, there’s still the chance that he’s his same ruthless self in different wrapping.
The only one he ever seems genuine around is Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but he’s lied and manipulated her into a couple of compromising positions that have hurt her relationship with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Yet with all of that, he seems to have Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s best interests at heart by calling Dr. Skelton (Stefan Marks) and inviting him to have drink with himself and Victor to get a assessment of some sort.
Since Adam’s in the dark about Victor’s test for everyone, he’s the only one that’s actively trying to help Victor, and there are so many ways this could go sideways simply because of his history.
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: Can’t win
While Adam may be doing his best to help Victor and could finally win his father’s approval for proving himself, we have a feeling there’s going to me a larger problem and it’ll be trust issues.
Granted, there are already major trust issues between Victor and his children mainly due to Victor’s manipulations. He’s created many of his own headaches and he refuses to own up to them and allow his children to live their own lives.
But now it seems Adam’s finally turned the corner, but what will happen when he finds out Victor was playing him and the others to test him?
It may be something he expects from Victor as well as the silence from Victoria, but Nick now saying anything may cut him pretty deep. They aren’t on the best of terms, but he’d most likely think Nick would still be honest with him about their father.
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: Hidden in plain sight
This could make Adam feel even more isolated even if he passes Victor’s test, and it could trigger his old habits to come to the forefront.
And with him being remorseful, there’s every chance he’ll be able to slip under Victor’s radar just enough to do some damage. Not necessarily to Victor, but to his siblings and that would destroy Victor and any bond they may start forming.
Or the writers could give Adam a happy ending for once and allow him to be integrated into the family while Victoria is found out for her plot against Victor, though since she suspects he’s trying to trap her she probably won’t fall for it.
Most likely, this is just another ploy by Adam since he’s never allowed to grow and remain a step better than he previously was.
Is Adam still a threat? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
