‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that over the years the show has continued to keep certain characters from ever achieving greatness.
Characters like Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who are constantly thrown under the bus, abused, and never get a chance to reconcile with the people around them. They will however, give them short runs of happiness, only to completely destroy them shortly after.
We’re about to witness this with Adam again, but another person that they are doing this to is Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and they will continue to throw him under the bus for years to come.
It’s the thing with the show, and they know. Sure, we have had some great villains in the interim, but when they need something done, they will call on these select few to mess things up for everyone else.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Queuing Up Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) To Be A Bad Guy Again? Who Would Have Guessed
This feud they have starting between Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Billy is only the beginning, and it won’t be long before Billy is racing his car down an icy road or falling into the bottle again, which is a terrible waste because Billy is an interesting character that could do so much more.
We’ve seen him do plenty of things, especially when he was with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), but now, it looks like he is about to fall down that slippery slope yet again!
It really is becoming old the more and more they recycle these silly storylines and throw the same characters under the bus for no reason. Are they that unresourceful that we couldn’t see a storyline where someone else turns into the town villain?
It feels like we’re constantly back to Billy and Adam when they run out of ideas, and that’s exactly where we are now.
Especially with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) saving Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) life, there is probably about to be significantly less drama coming up, and they need a scapegoat to stir some drama. It’s a shame, really, but I guess we’ll see what they have in store.
What do you think? Could they not find another villain? Let us know in the comments below.
