‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the struggle that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is having with alcohol is about to get deeper. The storyline’s introduction of Seth (Brian Gaskill) appears to be a ruse to include Jack Abbott (Peter Berman) in Nikki’s battle.
The connection between Nikki and Seth is definitely lacking. But including Jack as a helping figure might cause conflict with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Praying, Seth went to Nikki’s office and asked for aid.
However, Nikki confirmed that’s not how it works. She cannot afford to be around a sponsor who has turned back to alcohol. As a result, Nikki realized that trying to help another alcoholic may make their problems worse and had no choice but to break up their relationship with Seth.
Nikki couldn’t risk getting sucked into Seth’s relapse while trying to help him because she was already dealing with her own issues.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) Finds Solace In Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)? Stirs Chaos In Marriage?
It’s obvious that Seth’s presence may not endure long. Seth might perhaps suffer an injury or worse in the near future. As a result, Jack has offered to assist Nikki in finding a new sponsor. Jack feels bad about the way he treated Nikki when their relationship was new and she started drinking.
But Nikki worries that if something were to happen to Seth, she would give in to the allure of alcohol once more since she is aware of how vulnerable he is. With everything going on in her life, Nikki cannot afford to add to her already heavy load of guilt over turning Seth away in the first place.
Nikki feels uncomfortable with Jack’s participation even though he says he wants to support her, especially because she wants to keep Victor in the dark about how much she drinks.
Will Jack, Nikki’s recently discovered sponsor, cause marital problems if Victor finds out about his involvement in her life? That is the unanswered issue.
