‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that today had a particularly emotional moment as we saw Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) say goodbye to his daughter Summer Newman (Hunter King) in Italy. While he’s proud of her and everything she’s accomplished, he recognizes that she needs to move on.
What was fantastic about this scene though was how real it felt. It felt like a true goodbye from Joshua Morrow as Hunter King will be moving on to other projects and saying goodbye to ‘The Young and the Restless’. It seems real life may have bled over to the screen.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) & Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) Emotional Goodbye
Nick was greeted by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) shortly after who made the long trek to be with him, and it’s good she did as he looked like he needed someone to be with. Together, they spoke about Summer and Phyllis hinted that there was more to the story about why she was so quick to leave Genoa City and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
We see Nick look up a little and realize that he may have to do some more digging, and go against his daughter’s wishes when she told him to take it easy on Kyle.
I think Nick and Phyllis are going to return to Genoa City full force and question Kyle until he can’t stand it anymore. Phyllis knows a little of what’s going on, but she definitely wants the full story and if she gets unleashed on Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), it won’t be pretty.
