‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) seems to be fixated on “protecting” Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but why? We understand that she has a history with the guy and has been friends for a while, but why does she feel like it’s her job to prevent Sally or anything from spending time with Jack?

From our point of view, we know Sally’s intentions, how she worked with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) to get rid of Summer Newman (Hunter King) and take over the job at Jabot. So, we understand. But, does Phyllis really know all of this and what Sally’s true intentions are? Or is she just guessing?

Even if she knew… stone-cold knew… that Sally was going to hurt Jack. Hasn’t she done enough to warn the guy? At this point, it would be his fault for not heeding her warning, but instead, Jack seems to be doing what he wants. So, let him.

Phyllis has done what she can and at this point, she just seems obsessed with Jack and his relationship with Sally.

Perhaps I’m not reading this right and Phyllis is completely in the right, but it bothers me that her daughter can ditch the man she loves and give up so easily by “making her own choice”, but won’t allow a grown man to make his own choices.

What do you think? Is Phyllis going above and beyond in a negative way or do you think her intentions are good? Let us know in the comments below.
