‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that repeatedly deceiving people creates a bad reputation. That is what Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is dealing with now that he is trying to revert to his traditional good guy persona.
Devoted fans of the show were pleased when Dominic’s character was elevated to a higher tier. Rather than generally being a secondary character, as he was, Nate was written into compelling storylines.
For example, Nate conspired with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in a misguided attempt to take over Chancellor-Winters. Then, he joined Newman Enterprises and began a romantic relationship with Heinle’s character.

Having an aunt who cares about you is invaluable, as Nate Learned. It has been a while since Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) was seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But she returned for a specific reason.
Mamie wants her family to be on the same page. She has also concluded that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) did not treat Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) with respect. So, Mamie cut ties with him.
Nate appreciates his great-aunt’s backing. Without it, he likely would not be back at CW. But Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was willing to give Nate some slack, which helped persuade Devon to give their cousin a conditioned second chance.

It was a hard turn, moving from medicine to corporate intrigue. A different skill set is needed inside the cliched C-suite.
Nate was used to going with his gut and relying on years of doctoral training to help patients in crisis. He attempted to channel that drive to his family business and was repeatedly blocked by his territorial cousin.
Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) still harbors ill feelings about Nate coming between him and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). Devon’s coldness about the consequences Nate faced when shattering his hand after being sucker-punched continues to be telling.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Nikki Newman Is Drinking
The ordeal Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) endured generated ongoing consequences. She is craving alcohol and has become a closet drinker, though Nikki has downed vodka from her flask in the living room at the Ranch.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) no longer trusts Dominic’s character. So, a legitimate tip will be initially discounted when Nate attempts to warn him about Nikki seemingly drinking on Y&R.
